Guest borrowing options: Those interested in borrowing materials from Bard can become a Friend of Stevenson Library for $50 a year. (This fee is waived for alumni). Community applicants must live within 50 miles of the main campus to be eligible to borrow materials.
Check-out / Lending options: The membership entitles borrowers to check out up to 15 books at a time for 4 weeks each. Guest borrowers cannot use Bard College inter-library loan services, or any campus databases off-site.
On-site access: The public can access materials on-site, including computers and library databases. Bard affiliates are given priority if there is a conflict for space or services.

Guest borrowing options: The library has community borrower accounts available for Marist alumni, retirees, independent researchers, local community members, and ConnectNY members. Interested borrowers must fill out a form and submit it to the library, either in person or via email.
Check-out / Lending options: Guest borrowing privileges apply to books, only. The membership entitles borrowers to check out five books at a time for a loan period of 30 days.
On-site access: Visitors can access books and periodicals on-site at the library. Guests can receive temporary internet access by filling out a guest account form and having it approved (see policy link below for more details). Students and Faculty members from participating institutions can access wifi through Eduroam.

Guest borrowing options: Adult Dutchess or Putnam County residents may register for community borrower status at no cost. Interested applicants can apply at the Ritz Library with a picture ID to confirm residency. Current students at other Mid-Hudson area colleges are not eligible to enroll as a community borrower. Reciprocal agreements are in place for all SUNY students.
Check-out / Lending policies: Community borrowers can check out five books at a time for up to three weeks. Renewals are permitted if all fines are paid, although there are no renewals available for popular or hot topic books. Community borrowers are not eligible to place item holds or inter-library loan requests. They also can’t borrow ipods, playaways, or nooks.
On-site access: Visitors can use items on-site and access databases using library computers. Interested visitors should check the library's calendar as hours change throughout the year. COVID policies for visitors to the campus can be found on the DCC website.

Guest borrowing options: Guest borrower cards are available at no cost when qualifications are met. These cards are available for alumni, retirees, family members of current employees, faculty at local colleges, local teachers, and librarians living within 50 miles of Vassar College. Cards are also available for: ordained clergy, doctoral candidates, scholars, researchers, professional musicians, faculty emeriti, and writers. Interested patrons can apply for a card online. The card must be renewed yearly.
Check-out / Lending policies: Borrowers can check out up to 30 books at a time. These items circulate for thirty days, with one available renewal. However, guest borrowers can not use Inter-library loan or Vassar databases.
On-site access: Visitors with a guest borrower card can access the library's collection during regular building hours. Vassar Libraries are open to the general public during winter / spring breaks and the summer.
