Southeastern NY Library Resources Council
STARS is ALA's Resource Sharing membership group. It is part of the Reference and User Services Division of ALA. Their mission is to address the needs of professionals involved in Inter-Library Loan and access services more generally. There are several ways to get involved in STARS, including volunteering or joining a committee.
This checklist (of about 100 questions) allows libraries to evaluate their current inter-library loan practices as compared to best practices. The purpose of the guide is to "start conversations about what we can do, and what we should consider, as we set library information sharing policies."
